In the early 1960s, a classically trained homeopath named Norma Rowan Harman was running a mobile clinic in South Africa. In 1968, Norma and her fellow practitioner Ghiradhlal began pre-mixing complementary homeopathic remedies and organ preparations into targeted blends. The work spread to Mauritius and then India, where she became known as Swami Narayani. In 1989, she received the Albert Schweitzer Award for Humanitarian Work. Her foundation preserved her notes and the system has continued to grow into one of the most comprehensive combination systems in homeopathic practice worldwide.

SP 22 is an excellent standalone for the full flu picture. Start with 6 times daily and reduce as the picture improves. Add Infection SP 27 where the infection is intense. Throat SP 40 if the throat is significantly involved. Lung and Chest SP 31 if the chest picture develops. Glandular SP 24 if glands are significantly affected.
